Loch Low-Minn wants to wish everyone a wonderful upcoming Christmas and very happy holidays! May Santa bring you all the diving gear on your list, and we look forward to seeing you in 2019!
Loch Low-Minn's 5th annual Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest is this Sunday, October 28th!
Contestants should be ready to submerge by 1pm. They'll have a maximum of 40min to carve their masterpieces. Voting begins at 2pm, and everyone who didn't participate in the carving can cast their vote. Free snacks and drinks will be available. As always, we offer great prizes for first, second, and third place - and merely participating gets you $5 off your day's diving. You must bring your own pumpkin (uncarved and unmarked) to participate. Stencils are not allowed - you must show your own creativity.
Sunday promises to be sunny and warm, and this may be the last weekend of open diving this year, depending on the weather of the following weekend, so we recommend you make the most of it. Come down and enjoy some good, spooky fun and the best diving for miles around. We look forward to seeing you!
It's that time of the year again - the trees shed their leaves to expose their long fingered branches reaching for you in the moonlight; the water ripples as vast, terrible forms slip silently beneath the surface; a raven's caw breaks the still night air to herald the faerie hosts riding out on the wild hunt. Halloween approaches!
Grab your carving knives and bring your friends for safety - Loch Low Minn presents its 5th annual Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest on October 28 at 1pm! Stay tuned to this page and our website for more info in the coming days. It'll be a terrifyingly good time - we hope to see you there!
We did hear from a few divers interested in coming to the loch on Wednesday, so we decided to officially stay open on July 4th! Our hours will be from 10am until either 6pm or the last diver leaves, whichever comes first. If you were on the fence, we hope you also take advantage of your day off and come diving with the paddle fish. We hear the weather will be fantastic, and the visibility is superb. We look forward to seeing you. Happy Independence Day!
Independence Day is coming up soon, which is a great opportunity to spend time with your family and enjoy the great outdoors. Why not come scuba diving at Loch Low-Minn and make a day of it? While we are technically closed on Wednesdays, we will open the resort if we have enough people interested in spending their holiday with us.
Give us a call or Facebook message no later than July 2nd to let us know that you'd like to visit, and we'll make an announcement to let everyone know if we will be open. The weather promises to be superb.
Either way, have a great Independence Day, be safe, and we look forward to seeing you soon. We appreciate each and every one of you. Happy diving!
As many of our visitors know, we here at Loch Low-Minn are constantly striving to improve and expand our amenities and underwater attractions. We just learned of a rare opportunity to make a much-needed improvement, but we need your help!
There is currently a 14ft fiberglass shark for sale on Facebook Marketplace, and our current one, Sharky, is a bit worse for wear. We are trying to negotiate a good price with the seller and hoping that we can raise the necessary funds to purchase it before someone else does. This new shark will give us the opportunity to temporarily replace Sharky so that he can get some much needed repairs on the surface and eventually rejoin his new mate below the waves.
It is not a high priority item, but we think it would be a fun addition and improve the experience of our guests, especially in regards to your underwater photos. To that end, we have started a fundraiser to get enough funds to purchase and transport this new shark to the loch. Any donation that you can provide will be much appreciated, and the top donators will also be able to choose the name of the new shark or vote for it in case of a tie (keep it clean, folks). If we do not get enough funds in time to purchase the new shark, all proceeds will go toward repairing Sharky and improving the rest of the resort.
If you are not able to donate, we understand, but we would appreciate your spreading the word to your friends and like-minded colleagues. As always, thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you when the weather warms up and the diving season resumes.
