Loch Low‑Minn Rules

The following rules have been implemented for the safety and satisfaction of all Loch Low‑Minn guests.
Entering the Loch Low‑Minn premises signifies agreement to abide by these rules.

Loch Low‑Minn staff will attempt to resolve any issues as amicably as possible. In case of serious or repeat offenses, Loch Low‑Minn reserves the right to refuse entry, demand departure, and/or prohibit future visits without refund.

  • Premises may only be entered during working business hours or by special permission. To request off-season or after-hour diving, please contact us at least a day in advance.
  • Premises may only be entered through the designated main gate.
  • There is a 5 mph (8 km/h) speed limit on the premises.
  • Visitors must stop by the main office and check-in immediately upon entering the premises.
  • All visitors must sign the appropriate liability waiver and pay all appropriate fees.
  • Non-diving companions may not enter the water at any time, regardless of depth.
  • Guests must present a valid diving certification or be in the process of receiving a diving certification from an accompanying qualified diving instructor.
  • Guests under 18 years of age must always be accompanied by a responsible and dive-certified adult, who must signify acceptance of responsibility by co-signing their liability waiver.
  • Children under 14 years of age should be under constant supervision by their co-signer, both in and out of the water. The co-signer cannot go diving while the child is left unattended.
  • Guests are forbidden from bringing animals onto the premises, with the exception of one licensed service animal per guest. Service animals cannot be left unattended.
  • Guests are responsible for their own gear and valuables. Please report found items to the office.
  • Guests must stay within the cleared paths and camping areas. Off-road hiking and vehicular travel is forbidden. The mobile home and air station are off limits to guests.
  • Climbing on, rappelling down, and jumping off of the cliffs is strictly forbidden.
  • Pushing, shoving, or other horse-play is forbidden – especially near the water!
  • Use of firearms is strictly forbidden on the premises.
  • Hunting, trapping, chasing, feeding, or otherwise disturbing the wildlife is strictly forbidden. This includes both underwater and above-water species. Look, but don't touch.
  • Damaging plant life is strictly forbidden. This includes the underwater grass, which is a fragile but necessary part of the underwater ecosystem.
  • Be careful with underwater attractions. Many are very delicate. If you break it, you buy it.
  • Motorized water vehicles are forbidden in the water, with the exception of underwater scooters during scheduled classes with certified instructors.
  • Only occupy the numeric table that is assigned to you and your fellow divers. Please share.
  • Guests must be accompanied underwater by a diving buddy unless certified for solo diving.
  • Guests must wear a BCD or other wearable personal flotation device when entering the water and must not remove it until fully out of the water.
  • Access to and from the water must be kept clear at all times. Gear and tarps can be kept on the assigned tables or against the side of hill, but not on the road or in the shallows.
  • Parking on the hill is forbidden. Vehicles can be driven down one at a time, unloaded, and then immediately moved to a designated parking area. If you don't feel comfortable taking your vehicle down the hill, you can notify a staff member to assist you with your gear.
  • There is an 8 person limit for each dock. Do not sit on, stand on, or climb the dock railing.
  • Please keep docks clear of gear except when entering and leaving the water.
  • Unattended scuba tanks must always be kept horizontal and stable at ground level.
  • All scuba tanks must display a current hydro and visual inspection label.
  • Nitrox tanks must be properly marked and designated as Nitrox.
  • Divers must be Nitrox certified in order to rent or refill Nitrox tanks.
  • Compressors can only be operated by qualified staff members. Please ask for assistance. Use of portable compressors is forbidden on the premises.
  • Campfires must be kept in designated areas, and all flames must be attended at all times and extinguished before departure.
  • All trash must be disposed of in designated receptacles. No littering, even if it's biodegradable!
  • Please keep music and other noise to a reasonable volume. If it bothers someone, turn it down.
  • Please be respectful to your fellow divers and their gear.

Loch Low‑Minn Waivers

All Loch Low‑Minn guests will be required to sign one of the applicable waivers below.

Paper copies of these waivers are always available at the office. To save time, you can also download, print, and sign the applicable waivers from the choices below and turn them in upon arrival.
